Beijing Intellectual Property Court upholds validity of Innoscience’s GaN patents
China-based Innoscience (Suzhou) Technology Holding Co Ltd, which manufactures GaN-on-silicon power chips on 8” silicon wafers says that it has received two favorable judgments from the Beijing Intellectual Property Court in patent administrative litigation cases. The court fully upheld the validity of Innoscience’s two core invention patents related to gallium nitride (GaN) technology and rejected the invalidation requests of Infineon Technologies AG of Munich, Germany.
These two judgments followed the China National Intellectual Property Administration’s (CNIPA) favorable two rulings on 19 November 2025, which affirmed all claims of Innoscience’s two core invention patents as valid. Infineon subsequently filed administrative lawsuits with the Beijing Intellectual Property Court. Innoscience says that the court judgments confirm that, from a judicial perspective, Innoscience’s relevant invention patents are fully valid.
The two GaN invention patents involved in these cases are the same patents that Innoscience previously asserted against Infineon in domestic patent infringement litigations.
