Guerrilla RF enhances corporate governance by appointing David Bell as chairman
Guerrilla RF Inc (GRF) of Greensboro, NC, USA — which provides radio-frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) and monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs) for wireless applications — has appointed David Bell as chairman of its board of directors, separating the chairman and chief executive officer roles as part of the company’s continued enhancement of its corporate governance. Bell, who has served as an independent director since October 2021, succeeds CEO Ryan Pratt as chairman. Pratt will continue to serve as a member of the board.
“David’s depth of semiconductor industry experience and understanding of Guerrilla RF make him ideally suited to lead our board as we continue to scale the business,” comments founder & CEO Pratt. “Separating the chairman role from management is an important step to take to ensure our governance practices are aligned with the expectations of a broader institutional shareholder base. I look forward to continuing our close collaboration as we expand our RF and microwave portfolio and pursue growth opportunities we have in front of us,” he adds.
“The company has an exciting opportunity to build on its product innovation and growing customer relationships,” says Bell.
Bell brings has than four decades of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor experience. He was previously president & CEO of Intersil and president of Linear Technology, both analog and mixed-signal semiconductor companies. Before becoming president of Linear Technology, he was VP & general manager of its Power Products business and manager of strategic product development. He also serves as chairman of analog and mixed-signal solutions provider Triad Semiconductor.
Bell holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The leadership change comes as Guerrilla RF continues to pursue an uplisting to the Nasdaq Stock Market as part of its strategy to broaden investor access and enhance its capital markets profile. Any uplisting remains subject to satisfaction of applicable listing requirements, Nasdaq approval and market conditions, and there can be no assurance that an uplisting will be completed.
