SemiLEDs’ quarterly revenue bounces back from $1.06m to $9.07m
For its fiscal third-quarter 2026 (to end-May), LED chip and component maker SemiLEDs Corp of Hsinchu, Taiwan has reported revenue of $9.07m, up from $1.06m last quarter, due to the increase of buy-sell purchase orders of equipment.
Gross margin was 27%, recovering from just 1% last quarter. Despite operating expenses rising from $0.85m last quarter back to $1.05m, operating margin was 16%, compared to –79% last quarter.
Compared to a net loss of $603,000 ($0.07 per diluted share) last quarter, net income was $1.5m ($0.18 per diluted share). During the quarter, cash and cash equivalents hence rose further, from $4m to $6m.
SemiLEDs expects more buy-sell purchase orders in fiscal fourth-quarter 2026 (to end-August).
