IQE appoints Robert Dennehy and David O’Carroll as non-executive directors
At the beginning of July, epiwafer and substrate maker IQE plc of Cardiff, Wales, UK appointed Robert Dennehy and David O’Carroll as non-executive directors, representative of MACOM Technology Solutions Inc of Lowell, MA, USA under the board appointment agreement between the two firms announced on 28 May. MACOM has a beneficial interest in IQE, representing 11.5% of IQE’s issued share capital.
Dennehy has over 30 years of experience at MACOM, spanning product management, operations leadership and general management across the USA and Europe. He has served as MACOM’s senior VP & chief operating officer since November 2025, having previously held the roles of senior VP operations, VP operations & managing director of MACOM’s Cork, Ireland subsidiary. Dennehy holds an Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering and a Diploma in Business Administration from Henley Business School, London.
O’Carroll has over 10 years of experience at MACOM, with particular expertise in international operations, finance, and government relations across Europe and Asia. He has served as MACOM’s vice president since October 2023, managing facilities in France, Japan and Ireland and overseeing MACOM’s Asian operations. O’Carroll previously held the roles of senior director of global accounting operations and international finance director. He is the president of the MACOM group’s French subsidiary. He is also a director on the board of several international subsidiaries within the MACOM group.
