Teledyne e2v HiRel launches RF LNAs for LEO space applications

Teledyne e2v HiRel Electronics of Milpitas, CA, USA (part of the Teledyne Defense Electronics Group that provides solutions, sub-systems and components to the space, transportation, defense and industrial markets) has announced the availability of a pair of low-noise amplifiers (LNAs) for low earth orbit (LEO) space and other demanding applications. Combining to span 17–31.5GHz frequency ranges, the TDLNA2626 and TDLNA2628 are fabricated in a gallium arsenide (GaAs) process technology that provides lower power consumption and high gain/bandwidth. Both are packaged in a 4mm x 4mm plastic QFN.

The TDLNA2626 operates at 17–22GHz and provides a low noise figure of 1.3dB and 25dB small-signal gain, along with P1dB of 20dBm and IM3 levels of −55dBc (at Pout=0dBm/tone).

The TDLNA2628 operates at 22–31.5GHz and provides a low noise figure of 1.6dB and 23dB small-signal gain, along with P1dB of 19dBm and IM3 levels of −54dBc (at Pout=0dBm/tone).

“Our customers have been requesting higher-frequency RF parts, and we are excited to expand our RF offerings with K-band LNAs to support applications where small size, low power consumption, and low noise figures are required in mission-critical applications,” says VP & business development manager Mont Taylor.

Devices are available for ordering and shipment now, from Teledyne e2v HiRel or an authorized distributor.
