Picosun wins over 20 new ALD system customers in China since December 2015

Atomic layer deposition (ALD) thin-film technology firm Picosun Oy of Espoo, Finland says that it has won more than 20 new customers in China for its ALD systems since December 2015, including many of China's leading companies in LEDs, III‐V semiconductors, and new energy, it is claimed.

Picosun says that the Chinese semiconductor manufacturing and the number of planned fabs in the country are booming, making it the key market for semiconductor processing equipment, benefitting Picosun as the main supplier of ALD technology in China. Collaboration with the leading Chinese research institutes is further supporting Picosun's progress in the market, the firm says.

"Our achievements are based on solid ALD know-how, high‐level support and proprietary designs," says Xiaopeng Wu, CEO of Picosun China Co Ltd.
