Ascent Solar launches retail presence in Colorado

Ascent Solar Technologies Inc of Thornton, CO, USA (which makes lightweight, flexible, copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) thin-film photovoltaic modules, integrated into its new EnerPlex series of consumer products) has announced the launch of its retail presence in Colorado.

Ascent began operations at Denver International Airport (Concourse B) as well as multiple locations around the Denver metropolitan area, including Boulder, Aurora and the Red Rocks amphitheatre. The firm says that the new retail locations bring it closer to consumers in its home state of Colorado.

Together with the Surfr line of solar and battery-integrated phone cases as well as the Kickr line of portable solar chargers, the recent addition of the Jumpr line-up of portable batteries to the EnerPlex series now offers consumers to a complete, integrated solar charging and storage solution.

“The launch of our first retail locations is an important step forward in Ascent’s continuing pivot into the consumer marketplace,” says president & CEO Victor Lee. “Coupled with our rapidly expanding distributor network, these retail locations enable us to connect with consumers right here in our backyard of Colorado, gaining valuable insight.”
