Russian research institute orders Riber SIVA21 system

Riber S.A. of Bezons, France, which manufactures molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) systems as well as evaporation sources and effusion cells, has received an order for a SIVA21 research system from The Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (LPI RAS), based in Moscow, Russia.

Riber says that the SIVA21 will be installed with an existing Riber Compact21 system at the Laboratory of Molecular Beam Epitaxy, which is headed by Pr. Igor P. Kazakov. LPI RAS will use the system for the epitaxial growth of experimental silicon germanium (SiGe) based heterostructures with quantum wells for fundamental investigations.
