Finisar receives Huawei Golden Core Partner Award

Finisar Corp of Sunnyvale, CA, USA, which makes fiber-optic communications components and subsystems as well as network test & measurement systems, has received the Golden Core Partner award from telecoms network provider Huawei in a ceremony at its corporate headquarters in Shenzhen, China attended by Finisar’s executive chairman Jerry Rawls and senior VP of sales & marketing Todd Swanson.

This is the third supplier award that Finisar has received from Huawei. Finisar was honored for its innovative technology, high-quality, and on-time delivery of optical components for high-speed communications.

Of the more than 1000 suppliers that Huawei works with each year, Finisar was one of only 18 firms to receive the Golden Core Partner Award, which is bestowed on companies that consistently deliver high performance and quality products meeting Huawei’s highly specialized needs.

Finisar supplies Huawei with a wide range of optical components (include passive devices, transceivers, and transponders) that are included in its telecoms networking equipment.

“We are very pleased to be honored by one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing telecommunications equipment manufacturers,” says Swanson. “To consistently achieve the highest levels of performance, quality, and short delivery times while exceeding Huawei's stringent requirements is a testament to Finisar’s innovative products and high-volume manufacturing capabilities,” he adds.
