Arima orders additional Aixtron AIX 2600G3 MOCVD system

Taiwan’s Arima Optoelectronics Corporation has ordered an AIX 2600G3 MOCVD system, in 49x2" wafer configuration, from Aixtron of Aachen, Germany. It will be used to mass-produce red, yellow and yellow/green ultra-high brightness (UHB) LEDs. Arima operates multiple MOCVD systems, which include three AIX 2600G3 systems ordered last September.

Commenting on the AIX 2600G3 system, Dr P. J. Wang, president of Arima, said: "They provide excellent production throughput and run to run reproducibility which are crucial for the economic mass production of UHB LEDs.” He added:
“Within the past year we already ordered three AlGaInP systems which were smoothly transferred into production and are performing very satisfactorily. Therefore we ordered this new MOCVD system in exactly the same configuration.”
