Richardson to distribute Avago's RFICs, transistors and diodes

Avago Technologies of San Jose, CA, USA has agreed a North American distribution partnership for Richardson Electronics Ltd of LaFox, IL, USA to distribute its complete line of RFIC, transistor, Schottky and PIN diode, and millimeter-wave (mmW) products. Avago's line of RF semiconductors provides solutions for markets including cellular base-station, WLAN, WiMAX, GPS, ISM, RFID, and mmW technology, including radio links, VSAT and military
applications.

"Avago's RF products will enable Richardson Electronics to provide an exceptionally broad range of solutions for our customers' RF needs," said Greg Peloquin, executive VP and general manager of Richardson's RF, Wireless and Power Group.

"Avago's direction in wireless is to bolster our investments in products and channels for the broad base of wireless customers," said Bryan Ingram, VP and general manager of Avago's Wireless Semiconductor Division.

To support evaluation and design-in of Avago's RF semiconductors, Richardson stocks a Designer Kit that includes samples and detailed application notes.
