Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

IQE Inc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for III-V epitaxial wafer foundry.  This individual will be responsible for all sustaining and developmental engineering activities for the company’s production MBE and MOVPE systems.

 Responsibilities will include:

  • Day-to-day management of sustaining process engineering activities and associated engineering personnel for company’s production MBE and MOVPE reactors (between 6 and 10 reactors active at any one time).
  • Driving all troubleshooting and problem solving activities so that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively in a manner that prevents re-occurrence.
  • Responsible for driving process improvements in manner consistent with overall business plan.
  • Monitoring yield and throughput metrics and driving improvement activities to ensure profitable operation that is consistent with overall business plan
  • Collaborate with maintenance and facilities departments to ensure that equipment is adequately set up to achieve manufacturing goals
  • Collaborate with product engineering to ensure to ensure that process is adequately tuned and controlled to exceed customer demands.

 Requirements: 

  • BS in science or engineering is required (advanced degree is a plus)
  • At least 7 years of direct epitaxial engineering experience in either MOVPE and or MBE
  • At least 3 years of engineering management experience
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident
