Title: Japan Business Development Specialist

This job reports to the Commercial Manager of Dow Corning Compound Semiconductor Solutions

This is a Full-Time position located in Japan.

Relocation is provided. Travel frequently in Japan and occasionally to Asia, USA and Europe.

This position will be working closely with Dow Corning Toray, a Japan leader in the silicon-based materials industry with offices located throughout Japan.

We now seek a determined, aggressive professional to join us in this key role within our Advanced Technologies & Ventures Business for our growing Compound Semiconductor Solutions Business Program.

Job Skills/Requirements

If selected you will be responsible for:

• Create and execute a strategy to accelerate commercialization and create a sustainable SiC business in Japan.
• Develop and facilitate close linkages to key external customers and collaborators.
• Coordinate internal USA and Japan teams to insure business, sales and technical service support.

To qualify, we require

• Minimum 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering. Advanced degree preferred. Business education desirable.
• 3-10 years experience working with the Japan electronics industry and a good understanding of semiconductor materials, device production and packaging. Specific knowledge of semiconductors, SiC, discreet power devices and application desirable.
• Basic business skills including customer communications, ordering, shipment with knowledge of import and export process.
• Strong Japanese and English communications and relationship skills facilitating and leading across functions and between Japan and USA teams.
• Experience with Science and Technology roles, processes and intellectual property. Specific knowledge of SiC technology and Japan expertise is desirable.
