Riber receives research system order for first pure-play MBE-based manufacturing initiative in India
Riber S.A. of Bezons, France, which manufactures molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) systems as well as evaporation sources and effusion cells, has received an order for a fully automated MBE412 research system from the Gallium Arsenide Enabling Technology Centre (GAETEC) in Hyderabad, India.
Fitting into its pilot production line for microwave device materials, the system at GAETEC will represent the first pure-play MBE-based manufacturing initiative in India.
The MBE412 system enables epitaxial deposition on either a 4’’-diameter wafer or multiple 2’’-diameter wafers. It is mainly used for the development of new microelectronic or optoelectronic devices, as well as their qualification before going into full production.
