Skyworks launches step-down converter for automotive, distributed power, industrial and medical applications
Skyworks Solutions Inc of Woburn, MA, USA (which manufactures analog and mixed-signal semiconductors) has introduced a step-down DC-DC converter for automotive, distributed power, industrial and medical applications.
The 28V, 3A, non-synchronous SKY87608-11-577LF is also applicable for general-purpose, point-of-load, 16V, 20V and 28V voltage regulators.
Skyworks says that the converter offers prime thermal performance and space savings in addition to addressing the green-power initiative in non-portable markets.
The high-performance solution comes in a standard 8-pin SOP-8L exposed pad (EP) 5mm x 6mm x 1.55mm package. Samples and evaluation boards are available. Pricing depends on quantities.
