Singulus wins €15m contract to supply CIGS PV production system
Singulus Technolgies AG of Kahl am Main, Germany, which makes production equipment for the Optical Disc and Solar sectors, has signed an agreement with a Chinese customer for the supply of a production system for wet-chemical coating processes. The system is a central component for the manufacturing of copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) photovoltaic solar thin-film modules. Worth more than €15m, the order is still subject to the approval of the relevant boards.
Singulus says that the contract is an additional key expansion step for it in the Solar segment. For thin-film solar cells, Singulus focuses on CIS/CIGS technology and offers processing tools for all relevant processing steps.
