Ascent Solar introduces EnerPlex Kickr IV solar charger

Ascent Solar Technologies Inc of Thornton, CO, USA, which manufactures lightweight thin-film photovoltaic modules based on copper indium gallium diselenide (CIGS) using flexible substrate materials, has introduced the EnerPlex Kickr IV, a rugged, lightweight and compact solar charger.

Victor Lee, Ascent’s president & CEO, said, “The EnerPlex Kickr IV brings to consumers the ability to transform the way they charge and use electronics in their everyday lives. EnerPlex Kickr IV users no longer need to be on lookout for the nearest outlet, or plan their day around a phone’s battery life.”

Ascent Solar has also pledged 10% of its EnerPlex product line revenues until the end of the year to support the American Red Cross relief efforts being conducted in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

“We are saddened by the devastating effects of Superstorm Sandy, but are encouraged by the support and efforts of friends, neighbors and families as all help to recover from this tragedy. We at Ascent feel thankful that we have the opportunity to help the American Red Cross in their support and recovery efforts,” added Lee.
