ARC Energy to fight GT Solar lawsuit

Advanced RenewableEnergy Company LLC (ARC Energy) of Nashua, NH, USA has issued a statement in response to a lawsuit against it filed last week in the Hillsborough County Superior Court (Southern District) in New Hampshire on behalf of GT Solar International Inc of Merrimack, NH, USA (a provider of polysilicon production technology as well as sapphire and silicon crystalline growth systems and materials for the solar, LED and other specialty markets).

“ARC Energy has reviewed the complaint filed last week by GT Solar Crystal Systems LLC and GT Solar Hong Kong Ltd and found it completely without merit,” comments secretary and general counsel Daniel Lyman. “ARC’s sapphire crystallization equipment and processes are entirely our own. We will defend against this action vigorously and we intend to win,” he adds.

ARC Energy was founded in 2007 to commercialize technologies for LED and other clean energy markets. The firm provides highly automated sapphire crystal growth and processing systems to enable rapid scale production and cost reduction of LEDs.

“GT’s action will not distract ARC Energy’s commitment to providing its customers with the most advanced technologies and best possible products and services,” ARC Energy’s statement continues. “Nor will it distract us from our mission to deliver innovative, highly automated, sapphire crystal growth equipment and services which dramatically reduce production costs.”
