TriQuint raises Q3 revenue guidance by 8% from $215–225m to $238m

RF front-end product and foundry services provider TriQuint Semiconductor Inc of Hillsboro, OR, USA says that, based on preliminary and unaudited results for third-quarter 2010, it has raised its estimate for revenue again, by 8% from $215–225m (up about 6% sequentially and 25–30% year-on-year) to about $238m (up 15% sequentially and up 41% year-on-year, compared with February’s original guidance of just 20%).

“Strong demand combined with outstanding execution in operations led to revenues well above our earlier expectations,” says president & CEO Ralph Quinsey. The firm has also raised its estimate for non-GAAP net earnings per share (EPS) from $0.20 to $0.27.

TriQuint will report final earnings for Q3/2010 in full on 27 October. The firm says that it also expects solid sequential revenue growth for fourth-quarter 2010.
