Micromem subsidiary launches high-sensitivity Hall sensor

Micromem Technologies Inc of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which develops magnetic random access memory (MRAM) and sensor technology, has announced the market launch of its first sensor, available via its US subsidiary Micromem Applied Sensor Technologies Inc (MAST).

The GC-0301 has a Hall sensitivity coefficient of over 200V/T, making it the most sensitive Hall sensor on the market without the need for external amplification, the firm claims.

MAST says it is targeting unmet sensing and analytical needs in both the military and commercial markets. The firm expects to announce a series of partnerships that will include the world’s first sensing device to solve design issues that currently exist in the industry.
