Johnson Matthey (GPT) wins contract from China-based LED maker

Maker of bulk and point-of-use purifiers Johnson Matthey Gas Purification Technology (JM-GPT) of West Chester, PA, USA has supplied a Model PSH-30 hydrogen purifier, capable of flowing 30 Nm3/hr, to China’s HBTH, where it will be used to manufacturer LEDs. JM-GPT’s distributor in China, Gentech International, made the sale.

According to JM-GPT, its PSH Series bulk hydrogen purifiers are capable of providing 99.9999999 percent pure hydrogen for wafer fabrication.

The latest sale follows a sale in December of two Model PSH-60 hydrogen purifiers to Taiwanese HB-LED wafer and chip maker Tekcore Co Ltd.
